Registration and Race Information

Race update: The race is now a virtual race and will occur on August 29th. There will be an opportunity to pick up T-shirts, etc. during the preceding week (more information soon). The distance will ONLY be 5K in length. Thanks for your patience. Please remember that this race is 100% non-profit and benefits the Charlevoix Cross Country team and a scholarship in honor of Coach Pete Spieles.

Start: Corner-Park Avenue/Grant Street
(two blocks west of downtown)

Family Mile/1 Mile Fun Run - 10:00 AM
Start: Under downtown stoplight on Bridge St.

Friday, July 24:
3:00 PM - 6:00 PM - First Congregational Church (corner Park Ave/State Street)-1 block east of start.

Saturday, July 24: 6:30 AM - 8:30 AMFirst Congregational Church (corner Park Ave/State Street)-1 block east of start.

Entry Fee: T-shirt & goody bag included
  • $25 per race before Noon on July 23.
  • $30 per race after Noon on July 23.
  • $25 Special one-mile only family rate before Noon on July 23 (family=mom, dad + children, maximum 4 T-Shirts per family, additional T-Shirt for $5, $30 for family special at Friday registration and on race day)

Age Groups:
  • For the 5k there are 15 age groups with the youngest being 9 and under, and oldest 70 and over.
  • For the 10k the age groups start at 13 and under, with the oldest being 70 and over
  • Start & Finish Downtown Charlevoix
  • Course along lakeshores
  • Aid station for the 5K & 10K races - Refreshments at the end of all races 
  • Timing sponsored by: Nu-Core.
  • Disposable timing tags.

Stay around after the race to watch the Ryan Shay Mile at 10:30 a.m.- Elite runners vie for $4000 in prize money
